Nestled against the backdrop of the majestic Table Mountain lies The Walden House. Built in 1900 this gracious Victorian home and garden suites have been restored to its original splendor and refurbished with the most elegant finishes. It has a colonial style, with a touch of Africa, and an open ambiance without any clutter, with each piece of furniture selected with a purpose.

There are seven elegant en-suite rooms that offer you a unique and private setting in colonial style: White cotton bedlinen, mosquito netting, white painted wooden floors and ceiling fans for hot African summer days. Four of the rooms offer direct access to the beautiful garden. The large luxury suite has a fireplace, large Victorian bathroom with a separate shower and toilet. It offers direct access to the balcony with mountain views.

Breakfast is always a treat, the in-house chef offers you a wholesome colonial breakfast in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. At the Walden house, service is always attentive and never intrusive. Situated in Tamboerskloof, The Walden House is the ideal base from which to explore the beauty of Cape Town. It is only 5 minutes from Cape Towns' finest beaches, Table Mountain, the Waterfront and within a twenty minute drive from the famous Stellenbosch and Franschoek winelands. We offer secure parking on the premises.
